The Smart Villages in Cairo have the option to be the birthplace of the Munich Orientation Convention, an idea from a Munichian inventor to simplify and harmonize worldwide all orientation means: signage, cartography, navigation devices and verbal expressions.
Within these villages, it is (will be) possible to find any target with easy brain work, that means
- without maps, | - without names, |
- without illogical numbers | - without arrows |
- without floor marks | - without square grids |
- without colors | - without compass or other navigation devices |
All buildings, crossings,
trees etc. have logical
addresses like
Ministry of Communications StatusQuo© m4:10 r70
which are easy to understand if you associate the area with a clock as follows:
Around a centrum or pole m0. the horizon is divided in 12 imaginary directions m1 to m12. whereas m12 points to north. These directions are called horizon hours and are sub-divided in horizon minutes. Example: m4:10 ( read "emm four point ten" or "emm four ten" ) This code means that this location is "later" than the direction m4. The convention for the minutes is very simple: the greater, the later. |
|
Considering the distance to m0 as r = radius in steps of e. g. 10 meters, logical position indications called StatusQuo© come into existence, for example : crossing StatusQuo© m3:20 r65 In other words: "r" is a numbering starting from m0, "m" is a north-direction-based numbering around m0 . and this simple methode covers a gigantic market gap: l o g i c a l and easy understandable p o s i t i o n codes.
Natural Cartography©: A map with such a polar grid has innovative characteritics, see www.volksnav.com/map
|
Orientator©, the signage of the future:
etc. Acc. to the same convention, a square symbol points to north = m12. Other symbols for emergency exits, WC etc. are foreseen. The picture above reveils: m12 is behind and m0 is right hand .
Navigation / VolksNav©: The local navigation with the help of such codes is called VolksNav©. As proceeded today with house numbers, VolksNav© is nothing else than the major/minor comparison between "r" and "m" values: Simply proceed according to 1 -2 -3 :
Let's see an example with (or without) the help of the picture above: If your target is: IT museum m11:30 r100 and you've lost orientation on crossing m12 r110 so you must go - inwards ( radius 100 is less than r110 ) and - to "earlier" (counterclockwise) ( m11 is "earlier" than m12 ) This may seem to be unfamiliar, but the orientation based on cardinal points is used for some thousand years and imaginary clocks are used by soldiers, boy scouts, pilots, blind people etc. for more than 100 years. On a real situation, VolksNav© can be learned within few minutes, that means, faster than the most seeking times. |
Vision: Logical room numbers The same addressing methode can also be used indoor to form logical room numbers, see www.volksnav.com/emergency Urban orientation The same addressing methode can also be used within cities, see www.volksnav.com/cairo and www.volksnav.com/cairometro. Acc. to this, the logical address of the Smart Villages is: StatusQuo© Cairo m9:35 r205 Natural World Co-ordinates: the same methode can be used all over the globe, see www.watchrose.com. According to this, the international City Code of the Smart Villages is: WatchRose© m4:593 r26 01 What is that good for? Just comparing this code e. g. with Cairo WatchRose© m4:580 r26 15 it is possible to evaluate that - the position of the Smart Villages is "later" and closer to Munich than Cairo, more exactly :593 - :580 = 13 km later r2615 - r2601 = 14 km closer - the distance between both locations, the hipotenuse, will be between 14 and 14+13 km.
- for advanced users: the egocentrical direction Cairo / Smart Villages (to later / to inside) is QuoVides(R) 9, see www.quovides.com
