Soldiers, boy scouts, pilots, blind people etc. divide the horizon into 12 directions for more than 100 years. This method didn't prosper because of the lack of a convention. The 12 o'clock direction could be the north or the frontal direction

As shown on the logo right hand, the Munich Orientation Convention defines the following convention:

f12 = in front of you = frontal direction

Consequently f3 = right hand, f6 = behind etc.
